That’s why our team at Faulkner Toyota Trevose created this 2018 Toyota RAV4 review. Discover the characteristics of this vehicle and contact us if you have any questions.
Performance & Towing Specs
The 2018 Toyota RAV4 comes standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque.
To customize your driving experience, there are several driver-selectable modes to choose from. Select ECO Mode to help maximize fuel economy. Choose Sport Mode for a more spirited drive, with thrilling acceleration and revised shift points.
Furthermore, the available Tow Prep Package lets you tow up to 3,500 pounds. And with an upgraded radiator and supplemental engine oil cooler, the vehicle can handle the longest hauls with ease.
Passenger & Cargo Space
The RAV4 has lots of room for five passengers. In front, there are 39.8 inches of headroom and 42.6 inches of legroom. In back, you get 38.9 inches of headroom and 37.2 inches of legroom.
There’s also lots of space to fit items for work, errands, or vacation. There’s 38.4 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats. Fold the rear seats down, and the space expands to 73.4 cubic feet.
Since the rear seats are 60/40 split, you can fold down one side to fit items while still leaving room for a passenger. There’s also an available cargo net hammock to safety stow more delicate items.
Furthermore, you can easily load items into your car, even if your hands are full. With the available hands-free foot-activated power liftgate, simply swipe your foot under the rear bumper, and the liftgate will automatically open.
Advanced Safety Features
The RAV4 comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P), for some peace of mind when traveling around town. This suite of driver-assisting technologies was designed to alert you to things you might miss while driving.
Some of the features included in TSS-P are:
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist: If you start to drift from your lane without using a turn signal, the system will send you audio and visual alerts. If you don’t react, the system can use corrective steering to safely guide you back to your lane center.
- Pre-Collison System with Pedestrian Detection: If it detects an imminent frontal collision with a car or pedestrian, you’ll get an audible and visual warning. If you don’t act in time, the system can automatically apply the brakes.
- Automatic High Beams: Designed to help you see clearly at night without blinding other drivers. If your high beams are on, and a vehicle approaches, the system will turn them off. Once the coast is clear, the high beams will automatically get turned back on.
